Background

[edit]

As, "...fundamentally social and community-driven projects...", communication is a core part of Wikimedia wikis. Communication helps shape these wikis' policies, culture and ultimately, the knowledge that is and is not represented within them.[1][2]

The trouble is, communicating on-wiki happens on talk pages which can be challenging for people, across experience levels, to use on the web and within Wikipedia's native Android and iOS apps.[3][4][5][6][7]

This program is designed to make participating in communication, whether via desktop, mobile web or the apps, an understandable and rewarding process for participants, both veteran and new.
