The current page tries to do too much, and does not have a clear 'focus'. No 'do this, then this, then that and presto! You just contributed to mediawiki'. As user:sumanah said on IRC, it feels more like a FAQ and a Getting Started mashed together, I'd like this to be just a Getting Started. I've been working directly on the How to become a MediaWiki hacker, and in parallel I think I've implemented most of your changes and proposed content. If you agree, I suggest that future edits be done on that page directly to facilitate their integration. guillom 19:20, 12 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
