Documentation of radio buttons and tick boxes
How is the documentation of these 'out of scope'?
It says that the scope is the documentation of mediawiki.
If these had been documented in the right place, not hidden in 'tips' it would have saved me several hours work. Surely saving other people several hours work in using mediawiki is within scope.

- Hi. Yes, the wiki is for documentation of Mediawiki software. A page with just an external link is not enough. For instance tables is documented here: Help:Tables. Other help-pages can be found here: Help:Contents. There you can see how the help pages is done and you can have them as a base when you create new pages. -- Tegel (talk) 09:28, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

- Even if it's not spam it's off-topic material for this wiki. This wiki is for documentation of the Mediawiki software, and nothing else. You have to get a normal web page instead. Have you asked your Internet Service Provider? -- Tegel (talk) 19:54, 5 August 2014 (UTC)

- Yes, it was in your user name space. But I couldn't see any connection to the Mediawiki software. This is not a free place for hosting your own wiki. For that you have to provide your own location. -- Tegel (talk) 05:47, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi, please don't delete/suppress redirects unless they're doing a specific harm. You can see in the case of User:Omegat Project Proposal for OPW that the user was confused and re-created the page in the wrong place. --Nemo 08:17, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. Normally I don't delete redirects, but when I do I notify the user on the talk page. As I did in this case. If the user doesn't read it's talk page but recreates the page instead there is not much I can do about that.
- You should know that different wikis handle things differently and not to refer to other wikis policys, or in this case an essay. Especially an essay that you moved into the main name space. Many other wikis, as Wikipedia in English, Swedish, Italian and German to mention a few, doesn't approve redirects from the main name space to the user name space for a number of reasons. I could refer to these wikis but I don't see how that would benefit the discussion, so I will just refer to item 3 in the section "exceptions" on the page that you linked to. -- Tegel (talk) 17:39, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

How do I make audio play automatically on wiki pages with Media:Whatever.file?
I think I've seen somebody do this with Media on a Wikia wiki, but I completely forgot the person and how they did it.

Deleted Meza/Using vi
Hi. You deleted Meza/Using vi, saying it was "Out of project scope". Could you resurrect the page and rename it to "minimal vi required to work with Meza"? I need a page that makes it easy for people who are not comfortable with vi, but want to use Meza, to have a bare minimum reference. Thanks! I initially posted on your meta talk page, but have gotten no response and would really like this page restored.
