Dear Infinite0694, Welcome to MediaWiki.org!

Yes, welcome! This site is dedicated to documenting the MediaWiki software, the software behind many wikis, including that of Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Foundation projects.
Please, take a look at the following pages. They might prove useful to you as a newcomer here:

If you have any questions, please ask me on my talk page. Once again, welcome, and I hope you quickly feel comfortable here, and find this site useful documentation of the MediaWiki software.

Thanks, and regards, Syum90 (talk) 14:34, 6 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletions

[edit]

Hi Infinite, uncontentious deletions, e.g. obvious vandalism, should be tagged with the {{Speedy }} tag instead of the {{Delete }} tag, which will place them in Category:Candidates for speedy deletion. Regards.--Syum90 (talk) 14:34, 6 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Congrats!

Seems Nemobis didn't give you admin access, who did? --Atcovi (talk) 18:12, 22 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Btw, is there anyway you can put my sysop request on the MediaWiki RC board? (https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Project:Requests/User_rights/Atcovi) --Atcovi (talk) 15:53, 24 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
To edit this page is not technically impossible, but there is no default for displaying someone's RfA request on here (meta wiki's RC is able to notify community of RfA). So, I did it instead.--Infinite0694 (talk) 16:49, 24 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Mass proxy blocks

[edit]

Hello. Global sysop tools are for routine uncontroversial maintenance only, as also Project:Administrators said. While I don't think your blocks are harmful, maybe it'd be better if you asked MediaWiki regulars if such massive proxy blocking operations are needed. --Marco Aurelio (talkmeta) 16:58, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

@MarcoAurelio: Thank you for your advice. I think Proxy is just a pain in the neck. Anyway, I stop mass blocking proxy for the moment until we discuss alternative solutions.--Infinite0694 (talk) 17:45, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
