From mediawiki.org

This is a place to document lesson learned and best practices from this experiment.

Process

[edit]
  1. Building a page that allows collaborative input from anyone who reads the page. Whether logged in or not, you can contribute your idea around how to make Wikipedia more interactive.

What went well

[edit]
  1. Very valuable input from community members
  2. Most ideas already resembles what the team proposed in Q1brainstorming, which the ideas from the consultation where added to anyway. A sign of aligned vision.

What didn't go well

[edit]
  1. Editing the page through mobile was challenging.
  2. Reaching out to the right audiance via social media, was challenging because of the point above.
  3. Some core community member added very valuable idea, that aren't however in scope.
  4. Feedback to ideas wasn't as prompt. Embedding ideas in future plans could be further enhanced.
  5. Multilingualism. We tried our best, but there could have been more.

General notes

[edit]
  1. The team was excited about the experiment and was willing to pursue an open and collaborative approach
  2. Better planning was required in order to have an idea, in mind, of what to do with relevant ideas, exactly

Thanks!
