Categories

[edit]

Few people fill the "end date" parameter, but even less add a category like Category:WMF Projects 2011q3. However, being able to see what was being worked on in a given time is extremely important. I propose that the template adds the categories automatically based on the dates (all the quarters between start date and end date, or till current time if one is missing). I can help cleanup the categories which will get crowded, by entering dates where missing. --Nemo 08:01, 19 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

I looked into adding the categories automatically based on the dates, but that wasn't possible with just wikitext when I set up the template. Now that we have Lua, it should be relatively simple. I'm a bit swamped at the moment but I'll add it to my to-do list. Guillaume (WMF) (talk) 09:02, 20 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Still looking for this. I'm trying to avoid this time sink for today, though. --Nemo 11:21, 15 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

field for IRC channel?

[edit]

It seems pretty common that engineering projects have a single IRC channel which serves as their place to converge. Shall we highlight that by adding a field? Adamw (talk) 00:27, 17 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Template broken on mobile

[edit]

I've made a few attempts to fix this without any success (I'm a bit confused about how template translation works). See https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T166456 for the background. I'm hoping someone who understands this template better can fix it. Jdlrobson (talk) 20:46, 25 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

This template=the reason to not translate?

[edit]

For many years I'm wondering why pages that used this can't be translated, is there any problems that blocked that way? --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 11:17, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

Following discussion and recommendation on the Support desk, I tried to add a sponsor parameter to make this useful template more flexible, but i was unsuccessful. Help welcome. Yug (talk) 14:58, 11 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
