Unify references to dark mode and night mode on mw.o?

There are a lot of historical pages about dark mode (from the annual wishlists to various prototypes and current tools) and night mode (mobile &c). Could these be categorized / unified along the lines of current development, and updated with indicators of activity or pointers to successor/superseding work where relevant? It's hard to keep track of what's happening, especially because many references to the current work (which is scheduled to produce a default dark mode for all wikis!) is categorized under accessibility or as subsidiary to the font-size preference work.
