Requested user-rights: Editor.

I have been a Wikimedian since 2007. Across all the WMF projects, I have made well over 7,000 edits. I am:

  • a Reviewer, Rollbacker, and Autopatrolled on en.wiki (verify),
  • a Reviewer, File Mover, Image Reviewer, and Rollbacker on Commons (verify),
  • and a Reviewer on en.books (verify).

In addition, I have installed around 10 MediaWiki wikis on corporate intranets and public Websites, and I currently maintain three of them.

While my activity on this project is considerably more limited than some of the sister sites, I still like to correct problems (technically complex ones, simple things like typos, reverting spam or other vandalism, etc.) whenever I spot them. I feel that I am trustworthy and pretty good at differentiating between constructive and non-constructive edits. I hate to waste other people's time reviewing my edits, when they could be working on others. Additionally, I would like to be able to help approve any pending changes that I see needing review. This may be a smaller wiki, but it's a very important resource for both experienced site owners and, especially, for new ones.

Thank you for your consideration. If for some reason you feel I do not qualify [for Reviewer], please consider granting me at least the Editor right instead. Thanks! Willscrlt ( Talk | w:en | com | b:en | meta ) 02:22, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

N Not done You would better be suited getting the editor right instead, as reviewer has the ability to mark pages as "quality" instead of just "trusted". But to approve pending changes on this wiki, in my opinion, requires more than just fifty edits to our local content (most of which weren't even made in the previous year). Please review Project:Editors first.--Jasper Deng (talk) 18:35, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That is a fair-enough assessment. It also is why I requested that if I do not qualify, then "please consider granting me at least the Editor right instead." I have updated the request. If that is not acceptable practice (or just bad form), please let me know what the preferred method of making an updated request is here. Thanks again. Request for editor is Yes Done. That said, I'd recommend holding off on marking off changes made by others until you build up more experience editing here. --Skizzerz 17:36, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I will follow your advice. :-) Willscrlt ( Talk | w:en | com | b:en | meta ) 19:16, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
