The following discussion has been transferred from Meta-Wiki.
Any user names refer to users of that site, who are not necessarily users of MediaWiki.org (even if they share the same username).

I added a further description to install the -math package under FC4. A LocalSettings variable needs to be activated, and the installation script fails to create necessary working directories. My addition is not a work of art, but it conveys a useful solution. The README for -math does not speak to where these working directories need to be. MaxEnt 18:53, 18 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

On the Amazon E2 cloud it was necessary to first enable the repository containing the extras at by editing /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-extras.repo

Fedora 8 and mediawiki-math

[edit]

yum install mediawiki-math answers ==>Parsing package install arguments ==>Requested dep: mediawiki-math is provided by installed package ==>Nothing to do

yum list mediawiki-math =>Error: No matching Packages to list

It seems that mediawiki-math does not exist in Fedora 8.

Are those specs included in mediawiki package (1.10.4-38.fc8) ?

Fatal error: Class 'DOMDocument' not found

If you're getting a blank page after installing MediaWiki 1.12.0 on Fedora check that you have php-xml installed. --Beagle 21:23, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Not every Fedora/RHEL distro has the same repository configuration for yum/dnf, the repositories for the listed packets should be mentioned. Erentar2002 (talk) 18:37, 7 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
