Magyar: Teljesen kifejlett nőstény atlaszlepke(Attacus atlas) a Londoni Állatkertben. A pávaszemek(Saturniidae) családjának legtöbb faja Délkelet-Ázsiatrópusi és szubtrópusi erdeiben él — ide értve a maláj szigetvilágot is. Az atlaszlepke a legnagyobb szárnyfelületű élő lepkefaj. A nőstények nagyobbak és nehezebbek a hímeknél. Szárnyuk fesztávolsága akár 25 cm-nél is több lehet; e szempontból is a legnagyobb lepkék közé tartoznak.
