I updated MediaWiki from 1.37 to 1.38. Now I do not get any output in the Category Cloud. I can see the placeholder for the tag cloud, but without any content. In the SourceCode in my browser I can see that he is finding the Categories, but is not able to show the Name:
<a class="" style="font-size: 77%;" href="/wiki/Kategorie:"></a> <a class="" style="font-size: 77%;" href="/wiki/Kategorie:"></a> <a class="" style="font-size: 77%;" href="/wiki/Kategorie:"></a> ...
Someone else has that problem?
I can see any error or something else. Just the empty cloud.
Is there a way to set a basecategory? As example: in a wiki of films; if i would collect the genre in an main-category named "genre". I would like to only show the categories in "genre", not other categories, like studio, producer something like that. is there a way to show only the cats (with the allready established filters (more than x) )? --Gunnar.offel (talk) 21:28, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
I was also wondering about this feature..? --GMShimokura (talk) 11:12, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
I would like to see an option to suppress hidden categories in the Tag Cloud output but didn't find a simple way so far. Adding the names of hidden categories to the '''exclude''' parameter explicitly seems to be a bad workaround. Do I miss something?
I have a similar requirement, as other DPL3 is adding a category "Pages using DynamicPageList parser function" to every page, and tag cloud is not excluding it by name, perhaps it could do it by HIDDENCAT
I love this extension! I just wish we had an option to only show top-level categories.
