Add topictemplate as tutorial?
[edit]Hi, "Campaigns" is an amazing and cool thing. But I miss some features. For starting with it: it is not possible to use a mediawiki Template as value for "template" parameter in "tutorial"? A file (like png or svg) is difficult to translate, a template is easier, and campaigns use to be international. Thanks! --Dvdgmz (talk) 11:07, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
Database update
[edit]Tables need to be added for the campaigns to workout. But when I run the update.php, I get this error :
Warning: array_key_exists() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in ...UploadWizard\UploadWizard.php on line 73
I am currently running on Mediawiki 1.21.1.
Thanks for your help ! 78.220.29.24 09:14, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
Structured Data in UploadWizard and other questions
[edit]Hello! In Brazil this year we'll use Wikidata to generate our lists of monuments. We want also to provide, through Wikidata, as much information about the monument to the photography file as we can. So, trying to implementing those we came up with some questions that I would like to have some guidance on:
- We are able to suggest a description for the image based on the Description at Wikidata (Lxxx in QS syntax), but only in one language. I know that Depicted place do it dynamically for places, but not every monument is a place neither we want to stop the users to adapt the description with their own words, so through a template wont serve it. Is there a way to do this through UW? Suggest multiple language descriptions (statically) based on what is on Wikidata about the QID passed?
- I tried to pass a caption trough the URL but didn't work. What is the syntax for parsing one caption?
- Similar to the previous question, is there a way to fill multiple Captions in different languages with Wikidata information?
- I followed the instructions at Extension:UploadWizard/Campaigns to put a
depicts (P180) = QID
in the structured date section, as any image of an monument is depicting the monument itself, and didn't work. My guess is that the suggestion value have to be fix and I putted $1? - This isn't a question, it's more a desire for the UW in the future (if its not already implemented): Selection of which template to use (right after the license selection). Information is good, but other templates serve better depending on the type of event/campaign.

Campaigns for Public Domain works
[edit]I am debugging some misconfiguration issues of campaign namespace pages like c:Campaign:fa where someone added public domain licenses to "ownWork" section of "licensing". However documentation if not clear where they should go to: "thirdParty" seems to be for works by others using CC (and similar) licenses. Jarekt (talk) 13:57, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
Need help
[edit]My campaign c:Campaign:WikiDaheim-at-bw fails with error message: Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "?". when setting the option to 'no / nein' from line :
"wikitext": "\n{{safesubst:#ifeq: $1|1|{{safesubst:WikiDaheim is running|at|[[Category:Media from WikiDaheim {{safesubst:#time:Y}} in Austria not for prejury]]}}}}",
If the option is set to second option 'no / nein' ($1 == 1), and if WikiDaheim is running (which is not the case at the moment), the code for the category should be inserted. In all other cases nothing shall be inserted. The used code works well in c:Special:ExpandTemplates. Any hint is appreciated. best --Herzi Pinki (talk) 20:01, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
