Extension talk:SaneCase
It seems the author removed the repository. I forked it on GitHub some months ago when it was still online, so I've pointed the download link to it
Great, thanks!
Yes, I removed it as I hadn't used it in years, wasn't even sure if it still works, and didn't expect any one to be using it.
May can the redirects marked as such ? by giving a 301 response ? or if not possible the Rel="canonical" can be added to the link?
According to the MOZ Page about duplicate content (https://moz.com/learn/seo/duplicate-content) that should prevent such possible penalities.
SaneCase is already doing a 301 Redirect to the corrected title.
Thanks for the extension. But it's partially useless because not handled red links in existing articles. Can we wait for this functions?
Yeah, it should probably handle this as well. I'm currently on holiday, but let me take a look next week.
Thanks! Waiting for!
An incoming URL may be redirected, but if you quote the wrong case version in the page, it generates a redlink which points to an edit page http://localhost/wiki/johnbraywiki/index.php?title=A_city_night&action=edit&redlink=1
The extension would need to get rid of "&action=edit&redlink=1" to be useful. I had hoped the March 2020 update might have done this, but no luck so far Vicarage (talk) 20:49, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
See https://github.com/ciencia/mediawiki-extensions-SaneCase/issues/3 for a discussion about redlinks. ~~~~
