Extension talk:GoogleWave

I don't think embedding a wave in a mediawiki/WP article really takes advantage of the full capability of Googlewave. I believe the only way you can take full advantage is to have someone write a waverobot which syncs the revision history of the wiki page and the wave history. I've begun the process of setting up my own XMPP/Wave server on my VPS, authenticated against the MW API to use MW for single-sign-on. What would be really cool would be if I could serve up a Wave as a namespace proper, and have, e.g. Talk:Articlename render out an embedded, interactive Wave. My biggest concern with that, right now, is keeping some sort of activity monitor available in the Recent Changes page; that page is how most of the community tracks activity on the site right now. I don't have any real progress to report beyond setting up my own Wave server using MW for Single-Sign-on, or remarks to make on Extension:GoogleWave's utility, but I thought I'd let the author know there's interest in that direction. --Short Circuit 23:34, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Parameter 3 to waveRender is a reference to the parser object, that should be sent by the parser hook. I have no idea as to why this doesn't work, since it is something that is handled by MediaWiki and not my extension. Which version of the extension are you using and which version of php? Perhaps you can also try asking in the mediaWiki IRC? http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_on_IRC By the way is this all of the error message (I don't mean the anonymized parts)? Possible to use against en-wiki?

I've just won the lottery and got a Google Wave-account (got invited). Is it possible for me (i'm not very tech.) to try Google Wave togeter with en-wiki? Nsaa 11:03, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

mediawiki 1.13.3-1ubuntu2

Working on my copy of mediawiki. No tweaks required.

The height argument did not seem to work with height="1000pts" ; however, height="1000px" worked fine.

The wave only shows up (for me) or another member of the wave who has an active session running in the same browser environment. They can also login from the wave view as well. Is there any way to get around it?

Two things we noticed, the wave can only be viewed if you have a google wave account and if you've been invited into that wave.

Definitely something that will need to be overcome. How goes the progress on building a bot to publish a waves history into media wiki?
