Extension talk:DiscordNotifications

About this board

Hello there. I'm trying to see if I can get Discord Notifications to send to two servers, but my attempts are not working. LocalSettings prioritizes the first webhook over the second, or ends up doing nothing at all when I tried "array". Wondering if this is possible to do in the first place, and if so, how? Thanks in advance :)

Hi there! Would it be possible for you to post the issue here, just to keep all issues for the extension in one place? Sorry for the extra work, I can still answer here but this would make things much more manageable and easier to cross-reference if anyone else gets the same issue. :)

Oh, I suppose so :P

Hello Kulttuuri! I am translating this extension as we speak, but there are some problems. For messages like this one and this one, you have the action as a parameter inside a sentence, that doesn't work well with translations. For this specific message there are two actions: In Norwegian the translations would be "$1 har løst et innlegg i emnet $3" and "$1 har åpnet et innlegg i emnet $3 på nytt" (rough direct translation: "$1 has opened a post in the topic $3 again"). As you can see, the translation for the second action would be around the parameter $3, so it doesn't work. What you need to do is create separate messages for each of those cases.

Also, I noticed several messages that had mismatched parameters, for example $3 was used for both target page and reason in this one. There were more cases, so please check them thoroughly.

The mismatched parameters are my faults. I has made a PR for that.

Kulttuuri (talkcontribs)

FYI; I've merged the PR fixing mismatched parameters.

@Lens0021 Could you have a look at the translation order problem? Would we need to update all current translations when changing the order?

Refactoring is worth I think...

The webhook embeds the links

For some reason the webhook embeds some of the user urls and page urls, so makes every message taking up a huge space in the Discord text channel. What is causing this?
