One of the Wikivoyage extensions, formerly used to add a link to a same-named article on a related site on the sidebar. The extension was removed from Wikivoyage in 2018 as much of its functionality overlaps the "In other projects" sidebar entry from Extension:Wikibase.

Installation

[edit]
  • Download and move the extracted RelatedSites folder to your extensions/ directory.
    Developers and code contributors should install the extension from Git instead, using:cd extensions/
    git clone https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/mediawiki/extensions/RelatedSites
  • Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file:
    wfLoadExtension( 'RelatedSites' );

  • Yes Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.

Configuration

[edit]

$wgRelatedSitesPrefixes is an array of interwiki prefixes of sites you would like to give prominence to. For example, for Wikivoyage this is:

$wgRelatedSitesPrefixes = [ 'wikipedia', 'commons' ];

Make sure you also have these prefixes set up in $wgExtraInterlanguageLinkPrefixes .
